WebNo, it would not even be offside, if the attacker was in an offside position the moment the ball was played. This is because the defender played the ball with intent. It is not relevant if the defender succeeds in doing so, if they want to play the ball and touch the ball ever so slightly , the attacker is onside. This , in my opinion, is dumb.
