SpletSwannington, a former mining village, is home to the 200 year-old Hough Mill, one of the few remaining windmills across the country that is open to the public. Over the years, the local charity Swannington Heritage Trust has been working hard to engage residents in the community and raise funds to restore and preserve the mill’s rich history.
